===Pagkaing panlaban sa kanser===&lt;br /&gt;
Ayon sa libro ni Dr. David, heto ang listahan ng mga panlaban sa kanser:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Green tea – Ang green tea ay may sangkap na ca-techins, na nagpapabagal sa paglaki ng tumor. Ayon kay Dr. David, painitin ang green tea ng 5-8 minuto, at uminom ng 2 basong green tea bawat araw. Piliin ang green tea na non-caffeinated, para walang side effect.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Pagkaing may curry – Ang dilaw na curry ay mabisang panlaban sa pamamaga ng ugat. Sa pagsusuri, nakatutulong ang curry sa mga taong nag-che-chemothe-rapy para mapabagal ang paglaki ng bukol.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Luya – Ang luya ay matagal nang ginagamit sa Asia para gamutin ang pagduduwal, pagsusuka, ubo, sipon sakit ng ulo, sakit ng tiyan at arthritis. Ang matinding amoy nito ay nanggagaling sa sangkap na gingerols, na siyang nagpapagaling sa mga sintomas na nabanggit. May tulong din ang luya sa pagsugpo sa kanser.&lt;br /&gt;

Ang bawang ay may sangkap na allyl sulfides, na tumutulong sa pagsugpo ng kanser sa colon, suso, baga at prostate. Para maging epektibo, ang bawang ay kailangang durugin at prituhin ng kaunti. Huwag sunugin! Puwede ring kainin ng hilaw ang bawang, pero mag-ingat lang at nakahahapdi ito ng sikmura.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
6. Madilaw at mapulang gulay at prutas – Ang mga pagkaing ito ay sagana sa beta-carotene, vitamin A at lyco­pene, na maaaring makapigil sa kanser. Kumain nang maraming karots, kamote, ka­ la­­basa at kamatis (4 K’s). Napa-kasustansya po nito. Sa isang pagsusuri ng breast cancer patients, napatunayan na ang mga pasyenteng malakas kumain ng 4 K’s ay mas humahaba ang buhay kumpara sa mga hindi kumakain nito.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
7. Tomato sauce at spaghetti sauce – Ayon sa isang pagsusuri, ang pagkain ng 10 kutsarang tomato sauce bawat linggo (150 ml) ay nakatutulong sa pag-iwas sa kanser ng prostata. Ang pulang spaghetti sauce ay may lycopene na masustansya sa katawan. Umiwas lang sa pagkain ng meatball, hotdog at ham dahil hindi ito maganda sa mga taong may kanser.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
8. Taho at tokwa – Ang soy products tulad ng taho at tokwa ay may sangkap na genistein, na maaaring makatulong sa pag-iwas sa breast cancer. Sa isang pagsusuri sa Asia, ang mga babaing malakas kumain ng taho at tokwa ay mas hindi tinatamaan ng breast cancer. Kaya, imbes na uminom ng gatas, puwede kang mag-soya milk. 12. Strawberries, blueberries at cranberries – Ang mga ito ay may sangkap na ellagic acid at polyphenols, na tumutulong sa pagtanggal ng cancer cells sa katawan.&lt;br /&gt;

#Kumain ng pagkaing mabuti sa mata. Ang maber­­deng gulay tulad ng kangkong, broccoli, camote tops (talbos) at spinach, ay nagpapalinaw ng ating paningin. Siyempre ang mapupulang karot, kalabasa at kamatis (3 K’s) ay may taglay na vitamin A para sa mata. Ang dilaw na pakwan ay may sangkap na lutein na kailangan din ng mata. Ang pagkain ng matatabang isda tulad ng tuna, tamban at tanigi (3 T’s) ay mahalaga din.&lt;br /&gt;
#Magsuot ng sunglass. Bukod sa pagiging sosyal at “in,” pinoprotektahan ng sunglass ang ating mata laban sa masasamang ultraviolet rays ng araw. Ang ultra­violet rays (UV rays) ay puwedeng “makasunog” sa looban ng ating mata (ang retina). Bumili ng sunglass na may markang UV-A at UV-B protection.&lt;br /&gt;
#Mag-ehersisyo. Alam ba ninyo na ang 30 minutos na ehersisyo ay puwedeng magpababa ng pressure ng mata? Ang paghinga ng malalim at pag-relaks ay maka-tutulong din sa sakit na glaucoma, kung saan mataas ang pressure ng mata.&lt;br /&gt;
#Mag-ingat sa sports. Puwedeng magsuot ng espes­yal na protection eyeglasses, na nabibili sa mga sports shops. Gawa ito sa polycarbonate, isang uri ng matigas na plastic. Nakita mo ba ang mga NBA players na may suot ng salamin? Ito’y para protektahan ang kanilang mata.&lt;br /&gt;
#Maghugas maigi ng kamay. Para makaiwas sa sore eyes, maghugas palagi ng kamay. Huwag ding basta-bastang magkamot o punasan ang mata. Gumamit ng panyo o tissue.&lt;br /&gt;
#Ipahinga ang mata. Puwede mong ipikit ang mata habang ika’y nakasakay sa kotse o kaya ay may kinaka-usap sa telepono. Matulog din ng 7-8 oras.&lt;br /&gt;
#Maghugas ng mata sa paggising at bago matulog. Gumamit lang ng malinis na tubig.&lt;br /&gt;
#Ipa-check ang iyong blood sugar. Kung ika’y may diabe­tes, malaki ang tsansang mag­karoon ng diabetic eye disease. Siguraduhin mababa ang iyong blood sugar sa pamamagitan ng ehersisyo at gamot. &lt;br /&gt;
#Umiwas sa nakasi­silaw na bagay. Huwag tu-m­itig sa araw at maliwanag na ilaw. Ito ang pinakamahalagang payo para hindi masira ang ating mata. Subukan ding diliman ang ating computer screen at telebisyon para hindi tayo masilaw.&lt;br /&gt;
===Mata at paningin===&lt;br /&gt;
KAPAG tayo’y nagkakaedad, humihina rin ang ating mata. Tumitigas ang lente ng mata at lumalabo ang ating paningin. Ano ba ang mga bagay-bagay na nakasasama sa ating mata?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ang mga payong ito ay itinuro sa akin ni Dr. Manuel Agulto, isang tanyag na espesyalista sa mata at doktor ng dating First Lady Imelda Marcos.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Umiwas sa nakasisilaw na bagay. Huwag tumitig sa araw at maliwanag na ilaw. Ayon kay Dr. Agulto, ito ang pinakamahalagang payo para hindi masira ang ating mata. Subukan ding diliman ang ating computer screen at telebisyon para hindi tayo masilaw.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Huwag magbasa sa dilim. Mahihirapan ang ating mata sa pagbabasa sa madilim. Gumamit ng katamtamang puting ilaw (at hindi dilaw). Huwag idirekta ang liwanag sa mata.&lt;br /&gt;

3. Huwag magtrabaho ng mahabang oras sa harap ng computer o TV. Subukan ang payong “20-20-20”. Ano ito? Bawat 20 minutos sa harap ng computer o TV, tumi­ngin sa malayong lugar (mga 20 feet ang layo) ng 20 segundo. Makababawas ito sa pagod ng ating mata.&lt;br /&gt;

4. Isang tip: Ang madalas na pagkurap ng mata ay may benepisyo rin para basain ng luha ang ating mata. Masama kasing matuyuan ang cornea (ang harapan ng mata). Minsan, sa sobrang sipag magtrabaho ay nakakalimutan nating kumurap at ipahinga ang mata.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5. Ihinto ang paninigarilyo. Umiwas din sa usok ng ibang naninigarilyo. Napakasama ng paninigarilyo sa mata dahil puwede itong magdulot ng katarata at pagkabulag. Ang katarata ay ang panlalabo ng lente na nanga­ngailangan pa ng operasyon.&lt;br /&gt;

6. Umiwas sa maalikabok at maduming lugar. Napa­ pansin mo ba na kapag nasa mausok o maalikabok kang lugar ay namumula ang iyong mata? Kapag sumakay ka ng jeep o nag-inuman sa bar, hindi ba namumula ang iyong mata? Ito’y dahil nakakairita ang usok at alikabok sa ating mata. Nakasasama po ito sa katagalan.&lt;br /&gt;

Para maalagaan ang mata, magpa-check up ng mata bawat 1-2 taon. Maraming sakit sa mata (tulad ng glaucoma) ang walang sintomas. Akala mo ay maayos ang iyong mata pero may diprensiya na pala. Lalo na kung ika’y may diabetes, kailangan mong ipa-check ng maaga ang iyong mata. Nakabubulag ang diabetes. Alagaan natin ang ating mata!&lt;br /&gt;

Bantayan ang sakit sa puso. Kung ika’y edad 40 pababa at wala namang ibang sakit, marahil ay hindi delikado ang pananakit ng iyong dibdib. #Monggo beans. Mataas ito sa protina, vitamin B, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, calcium at fiber. Pampalakas ito ng katawan at abot-kaya pa!&lt;br /&gt;
#Mani, tulad ng almonds at walnuts. Ang mani ay may good fats, vitamin E, magnesium at fiber. May tulong ito sa puso, ugat at balat natin. Kumain ng isang dakot lang at hindi isang bowl. Piliin iyung mababa sa asin (low-salt).&lt;br /&gt;
#Tofu, tokwa at soy milk. Mataas ang mga ito sa protein, niacin, folate, calcium at potassium. Ang protina ng tokwa ay mas healthy at hindi nakatataba kumpara sa protina ng karneng baboy at baka.&lt;br /&gt;
#Spinach at broccoli. May sangkap ito na lutein, vitamin Bs, magnesium, potassium, calcium at fiber. Kung si Popeye ay lumalakas sa spinach, subukan din natin kumain ng spinach. Hindi ako nagbibiro. #Bawang (Garlic). Ang bawang ay may sangkap na allyl sulfides na tumutulong magpababa ng ating kolesterol at blood pressure. Lutuin ng bahagya ang 2-3 pirasong bawang. Huwag sunugin dahil mawawalan ito ng epekto. Mag-ingat lang sa pananakit ng sikmura sa sobrang pagkain ng hilaw na bawang.&lt;br /&gt;

• Take half spoon of ginger juice, half spoon of honey. Mix it and take it thrice a day. Ginger will help in removing the phlegm.&lt;br /&gt;
• Mix 1 spoon of lime juice and 1 spoon of honey in a cup of water. Drink this frequently (atleast 5 times) in a day.&lt;br /&gt;
• For dry cough, take a piece of ginger, peel it and chew it with some salt.&lt;br /&gt;
• Ginger tea is also good for dry cough.&lt;br /&gt;
• Take 1 spoon of cardamom,dry ginger powder, black pepper and cinnamon. Add 4 spoons of sugar . Grind the mixture into fine powder. Mix half spoon of this powder with honey twice a day after having food.&lt;br /&gt;
• For sore throat, gargle with warm water. Adding a spoon salt to the water will be best. Do this gargling in the morning and at night.&lt;br /&gt;
• Make a paste of half a spoon of turmeric powder, a pinch of black pepper powder and 1 spoon of honey. Take this paste after having food. Drink a cup of milk after this. This will have wonderful effect for common cold and cough.&lt;br /&gt;
