===Ingredients===
*3 c plain flour
*6 t baking powder
*¼ t salt
*50 g butter
*1 ¼ c milk
===Topping===
*¼ c brown sugar
*1 t cinnamon
*50 g soft butter or margarine
===Direction===
#Collect all equipment and ingredients before starting to cook.
#Preheat oven to 220°C.
#Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
#Cut or rub in butter into flour mixture until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
#Add milk and mix quickly to a soft dough with a knife.
#Lightly knead the dough.
#Roll out dough into a rectangle 1 cm thick.
#Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and butter/margarine together.
#Spread butter mix over the surface of the dough.
#Starting from the long edge, roll the dough into a log.
#Cut the log into 2 cm pieces
#Place each scone, cut side up on the baking tray.
#Place the scones close together, nearly touching
#Bake for 10-12 minutes until the scones are cooked and golden brown.
