  • 400g sugar
  • 100g cocoa or more
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 200g butter (melted)
  • 200g dark chocolate chips or more
  • 90g sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • I used 70% dark chocolate plus choc. chips.

Method

  1. Preheat oven 150C (fan force) or 175C
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together
  3. In a large bowl mix the sugar, cocoa, eggs,vanilla essence to a smooth paste then mix with melted butter and chocolate.
  4. Add chocolate chips and stir through.
  5. Mix flour and baking powder then add to the chocolate mixture.
  6. Pour mixture into the greased and lined tin, bake it for 25-30 minutes or until mix is set.
  7. A knife/skewer will come out with melted choc on but not the mixture.
  8. Leave in tray until almost completely cool then turn out and cut when cold sprinkle with icing sugar.
