Upon arrival in the Naples train station, follow signs for “Circumvesuviana.” The train platform is downstairs. You can purchase tickets at the ticket office located next to the platform or at the newspaper/tobacco shops in the train station.
Purchase a ticket to Pompeii Scavi (€3.20). Trains leave approximately every 30 minutes. There is no need to purchase this ticket in advance. (Click here for the Circumvesuviana timetable).
Make sure you validate your ticket before getting on the train.
