Jessica's Development

October

Prior to 19th

• About 2 weeks ago put 2 words together - "Where's Daddy"
• About 4 days ago used 2 words for possessive "Daddy's shoes"

19th

• Can open a door with the round twist type handle
• Counts numbers 1 - 5 with you, though gets a bit lost from 6
• Tried and very much enjoyed going down the slide head first

20th

• Describes Daddy's computers as "Daddy drawing"

21st

• First time at the swimming pool (kids area)

22nd

• Points to rain on TV and says "Raining"
• On a page in a book with 10 - 15 pictures I asked her to point to the boy, then the girl. She did this first time, and we have never taught her "boy" nor "girl"

26th

• Daddy yawns, Jessica points and says "You're tired!"

27th

• Carrying her through the rain she remarked "It's wet!"

November

• Tantrums start! At first one a day, but tapering out to one every 3 or 4 days

December

• Repeats 4 or 5 words back.

30th

• Can count 1 - 6, if helped with 7 can count to 10.

January

• Can count to 10

Talks 2 -3 word sentences

March

• Uses I, mine, my correctly in sentences
• 3-4 word sentences
• Identified Dr Who music (music only) without us telling her the name of the show
