Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 6 tbsp ketchup, divided
- 1/2 cup panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1lb steak mince
- 1 large egg white
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
- Heat a small frying pan over medium heat.
- Coat pan with cooking spray.
- Add onion to pan; cook 6 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat; cool slightly.
- Combine onion, 3 tablespoons ketchup, and remaining ingredients in a bowl, and gently stir just until combined.
- Place meat mixture on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; shape into an 8 x 4-inch loaf. #Brush top of loaf with remaining 3 tablespoons ketchup.
- Bake 35 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 70°C/160°F at the centre.
- Let stand 10 minutes; cut into 8 slices.
