Baked Porkchop with white wine recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon, diced
  • 3/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 4 pork chops, loin, about 1 inch thick
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Directions

  1. Combine diced bacon, wine, and green onions; let stand for 20 minutes.
  2. Drain and reserve the wine.
  3. Season pork chops with salt and pepper then dredge in flour.
  4. Heat butter in a large skillet.
  5. Brown the pork chops over medium heat for about 7 minutes on each side.
  6. Add the bacon and green onions.
  7. Cook for about 4 minutes.
  8. Add the reserved wine and cream; cover and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, or until chops are tender.
  9. Remove the pork chops to a warm serving plate.
  10. Simmer cream sauce for 3 minutes longer; add mustard and parsley to the sauce and heat through.
