Install AutoHotkey https://autohotkey.com/
Right-click on Desktop, New, AutoHotkey script
Right-click on newly created icon, Edit script
Paste the following after the text already there:

RegRead minDelay, HKCU, Software\MouseDebouncer, MinDelay

There should now be a system tray icon where you can select a delay time to ignore too-fast double clicks - 50 is a good place to start
