Jess spent the morning in the pool of the hotel with her cousins who stayed the night with us.
We had to be out by midday, and had found a place at the Midas Hotel at 2pm. We had time to kill so we took the kids to Dreamworld at the complex. This is an entertainment venue for kids based on the movie production company. The kids enjoyed it.
In the meantime Mina’s cousin showed up to see her. We went to the Midas and checked in. We got 2 rooms here, and it was still significantly cheaper than the previous ones for just a single room. It was the only place we could find, and the price made us think it might be quite bad. However, although old and in need of some TLC it wasn’t bad at all.
Now we needed to find a place to eat. We had a very early start next morning, so didn’t want to be out late, and the hotel had a Japanese buffet. However it opened at 6, and the shuttle to MOA was at 5:30, and the pricing at the Japanese place was not certain, but seemed quite expensive – or had the potential to be (previous bills were blown out by service and tax charges). By accident we discovered a place when the elevator stopped for someone on the second floor, a place previously unknown to us and labelled as a cafe, but was actually a really good buffet. Set in a very 70s vibe room the service and food was excellent, and meant we could get and “early” night.
